A. Editing Performances
One of the issues with not doing a show live is that it opens up the door for post production video edits. This can be dangerous because it can quickly turn into a slippery slope of correcting major issues to perfecting the show by editing every missed beat or uneven audio level. Fortunately, we decided early in the process that we were going to limit post show video edits to just addressing major issues. Out of 10 shows, I ended up doing video edits on 3 and realistically could have gotten away with only editing 2. The two major shows that needed editing came down to the same issue: a performer dropping out of the Zoom call causing my pinned windows to get rearranged in Zoom. This causes a catastrophic problem with the "Display Capture" and its performer-precise video crops. When this problem occurred we simply waited for the performer to come back and restarted that scene. Then in post production (I edit in Adobe Premier Pro) I would edit the video to remove the first "take" at the scene and ensure the transition between "blackouts"/"scene change" was smooth. The other show I edited was because a performer wasn't aware of curtain call at the end of show and was looking down for their "bow", in which they're full screened for 7 seconds. For this case, I pulled their video from a previous performance during curtain call and overlaid it adding a crossfading into the previous and next performers bows.

B. Uploading to showtix4u.com
One of my other responsibilities of the production was uploading the show files to showtix4u.com so they could be played back for the show the next day. This was relatively easy as I just logged into my account and uploaded the show file, and a few hours later I could check to make sure it had processed in their servers correctly. However, for one of the performances, when we went to check the video file in the morning after recording, it wouldn't let us view the file or re-upload. To solve this issue, I chatted directly with their support team. After a few hours of back and forth the solution ended up being me directly sharing the video file with them through box.com then having their team upload the show directly to their servers. Other than that, all of our other shows were uploaded successfully on the first try and played back perfectly.
